The Madison branch participates in and sponsors a number of activities.
- For the community, these activities include a Start Smart Salary Negotiation Workshop for DSU students, Equal Pay Day events, voter registration drives, and local election candidate forums.
- We collaborate with others to write grants to support regional programming and opportunities for women and young girls relevant to current AAUW initiatives.
- We contribute annually to the AAUW-DKG endowment to sponsor a DSU student scholarship.
- We have fun. At Christmas we forgo the business meeting and have a party that includes spouses and friends of members. Each spring, the branch has a “Progressive Dinner,” with each course taking place at a different member’s home.
